1978 - Dowling Floor Covering Established
Founded by Ernie Dowling, focusing on carpet and sheet vinyl distribution and installation for homebuilders.
1980 - Acquired by Mike Spraggins Sr.
The business transitions under new ownership, beginning its next phase of growth.
1990 - Renamed Spraggins
The company adopts the Spraggins name, establishing its identity moving forward.
1992 - Second Generation Joins
Michael Spraggins Jr. joins the company, continuing family leadership into the next generation.
1993 - Expansion into Tile
Ceramic tile is introduced as an additional core product offering.
1999 - Leadership Transition
Michael Spraggins Jr. is promoted to President.
2008 - Navigating the Great Recession

The acquisition of Custom Craft Supply introduces in-house countertop fabrication.

2016 - Direct Import Model Begins

2018 - Multi-Family Division Launched

2020 - GC Sourcing Acquired
